RECIPE

Pomegranate Rosemary Bourbon Cocktail

Christmas is here and fun cocktails are always a good thing. While I am a wine drinker, every now and then I do love a nice cocktail for special occasions. So changing things up is okay. I only started drinking cocktails a few years ago. Bourbon has been my choice recently. There are so many different flavors I think go so well with bourbon. I loved the way bourbon pairs  with pomegranate and rosemary.

To enhance the flavor for this cocktail, I made some pomegranate rosemary ice cubes. All I did was add pomegranate seeds and rosemary to an ice cube tray and freeze

Ingredients

  • Ice Cubes-add pomegranate seeds and rosemary to an ice cube tray. Pour water into the tray and freeze until ice is frozen.
  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 2 oz pomegranate juice
  • 2 oz fresh orange juice
  • 1 tbsp pomegranate seeds
  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup
  • Rosemary

Directions

  1. Make ice cubes-add pomegranate seeds and rosemary to an ice cube tray. Pour water into the tray and freeze until ice is frozen.
  2. In a shaker cup add ice, bourbon, pomegranate juice, orange juice, maple syrup, pomegranate seeds and rosemary
  3. Put pomegranate rosemary ice cubes into a cup. Pour drink over it. Top with fresh rosemary and pomegranate seeds.
Ready in 5 minutes Makes 1 drink
