RECIPE

Brown Sugar French Toast

We love breakfast in our house. It is honestly probably my favorite meal of the day. So usually on Sunday we will have breakfast!! By breakfast I mean a cooked breakfast and not a shake. This french toast recipe is inspired by MonaAmiGabi in Vegas. Don’t laugh we literally go to Vegas for their breakfast. So plan a day and makes this for breakfast, it will become your new favorite french toast.

  • Pinch of salt
  • Maple Brown Sugar Swirl Potato Bread
  • Spray butter
  • Cinnamon sugar
  • Favorite toppings
  • Butter

Directions

  1. In a small bowl whisk together eggs and milk.
  2. Add brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon and salt to egg mixture.
  3. On low/medium heat melt butter on a skillet.
  4. Dip each side of a slice of  bread into the mixture and place on the skillet, let cook for 2 minutes, before flipping over.
  5. Once each slice has been flipped over, spray the side facing up with spray butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, let cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Flip each slice over and spray the side facing up with spray butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  7. Flip over and let it cook for another minute.
  8. Flip over one more time for an even cooking on each side.
  9. Serve with your favorite toppings like real maple syrup, powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar.

Tips & Recommendations

If you don’t have spray butter, just sprinkle the cinnamon sugar on each side and let cook. You can substitute bread, but I totally find the maple brown sugar bread is the best. You want to use a thicker slice bread for french toast.
