Parmesan Green Beans

Green beans is one of the only green veggies Jimmy will eat. I have made these a few times in the past few weeks and he loves them. He commented that he wants me to make them more often. So if my hubs will eat these, I am pretty sure your picky eater will eat them. We cook them in our oven, but you can cook them on your grill on a lower heat if you want. If you want to make these gluten free I would use gluten free bread crumbs. I love the texture of the bread crumbs with the green beans.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of fresh green beans
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • ⅓ cup bread crumbs
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese
  • Garlic Salt and Pepper to taste

 

Directions

  1. Clean your green beans and snap off the ends of them. Soak in cold water for 10 minutes, 
  2. Preheat the oven to 400, line pan with tin foil and set aside.
  3. Drain water from the green beans. 
  4. Mix the olive oil, bread crumbs, cheese, garlic salt and pepper with the green beans. Place green beans on a prepared pan. Bake for 20 minutes
Ready in 30 minutes Serves 4 people

 

Tips & Recommendations

I only make these with fresh green beans. You can substitute a different cheese if you want.
