RECIPE

Philly Cheesesteak Rice Bowls

Easy meals are the way to me heart, especially on super busy days. Plus if it is a sheet pan dinner that is a plus too. Sheet pan dinners take very little time to make and are usually pretty easy clean up too.

This recipe you can use a flank steal, tri tip or tes major steak. All of them work very well with this recipe. I usually go with what is on sale or the least expensive. Slice the steak into thin strips. Place the steak in a freezer bag. Mix the ingredients together for the marinade and pour the marinade into the freezer bag. Let sit for about 10 minutes or so. While the steak is marinating, slice your peppers. You can add some onions if you wish. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper (this makes for easy cleanup). Add the slice peppers to the prepared pan. Add the marinated steak to the tray. Bake for 5 minutes and flip the steak over. Bake for another 5 minutes and pull the tray out of the oven. Add the cheese on top and bake for 1-2 minutes, until cheese is melted.

You can serve this with any kind of rice you want. If I know we are having rice for dinner during the week, I will meal prep it on Sunday while I am doing meal prep. If you want to add the meat to rolls, just toast the rolls for a little bit before the adding the meat.

This meal is one of my kids favorite meals. How can it not be with steak and cheese?

Tips & Recommendations

Make sure to slice the meat thin, so it is similar to Philly cheesesteak meat. You can use whatever cheese you want, but I highly recommend Tillamook cheese.
