RECIPE
Berry Fizz Mocktail
Our kids drink mostly water. So when we were on vacation, we let the kids get some fun drinks. At one restaurant the kids got a berry fizz, which was JJ’s favorite. Isabella and Lele loved it too, but not as much as JJ did. I also learn that no matter how old kids are, they still need some plastic cups. You never know when they will spill a drink or break a glass, which happen to us.
I knew this Berry Fizz would be one of the recipes I would want to recreate. This drink is light and refreshing, not super sweet. Depending how sour you want it you will add anywhere from 1/2-1 lime. I did juice from 1/2 a lime and 1 lime. Isabella doesn’t like things as sour/tart as JJ and Lele. Add a little bit of honey. If your berries aren’t super sweet, you might need to add a little more than a tsp of honey. Sometimes berries are sweeter than other times.
I prefer to muddle the berries, but you can definitely put them in a blender. if it makes it easier. I have done it both ways. You just want to make sure you get 2-3 oz of berry juice. I topped it with seltzer water, but you can use tonic water or a flavor lime water and skip the fresh lime juice.
I hope you and your kids enjoy this mocktail as much as we do.
