RECIPE
Yogurt Parfait
I bought Lele a cookbook from the school book fair. The first recipe she picked out was yogurt parfait. I laughed because I had made yogurt parfaits and had my recipe done. I just didn’t take pictures, so I said let’s make them and we can use my recipe. She was so excited to have some time in the kitchen with me. These parfaits are a favorite for the kids. Sometimes I pack them for lunch or for snack.
Yogurt Parfaits are so easy to make. I always use plain or vanilla yogurt, but you can use a flavored yogurt if you want. A honey yogurt would be delicious. We used an almond granola, but you can use any granola you want. I love the layers in a parfait. So I start with yogurt as the base. Add a handful of granola. Add some blueberries. I add another of yogurt, granola and blueberries. Final touch is drizzling some honey on top.
This is an easy recipe. Perfect for a special occasion like Mother’s Day. It is a great make ahead recipe and looks so pretty in a mason jar. Just imagine how pretty it will look on a table.
