The Best Rice Krispie Treats

Part of me thinks that everyone loves Rice Krispie Treats. Kids love them. I think for adults it brings back memories from being a kid. Growing up I remember my mom making Rice Krispie Treat. They were one of the first things I learned to make. They really aren’t hard to make and so yummy. Isabella loves making these, because she can do most of the work. I love making them for an easy dessert or snack. The kids are obsessed with them and love when we make them.

I have some tips on making the best Rice Krispie Treats. First lots of marshmallows, I mean lots of marshmallows. After the butter is melted, you melt most of the marshmallows, not all of them. You want to save some for the end, remember that. You want me to be able see some of the marshmallows, it makes them extra yummy. Also make sure to add some vanilla to the melted marshmallow mixture. It gives a nice vanilla taste to the treats. Mix in the Rice Krispies next, be careful not over mix them. You just need to make sure everything has a nice coat it. Now it is time to add the rest of the marshmallows and sprinkles. Once that is mix you need to add your mixture to your pan. I will spray a little Pam either on my hands or spatula to help flatten down the mixture. You do not want to press it too hard into the pan. If you do, it will result in a hard Rice Krispie Treat. Add a few more sprinkles for the final touch.

There you go!! Have some fun making these with your kids.
