Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteaks
Leave a Review | [get-favorites] | Jump to Recipe
Jimmy and I love Philly cheesesteaks, but hey I am a Jersey girl and we know what a good one tastes like. So I am constantly looking to add recipes to the blog and I had ground beef on hand I wanted to use. I was originally gonna make some pasta, but honestly I didn’t feel like pasta. So I decided to really switch things up and create a new recipe. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we did.
Happy Cooking ????
Ingredients
- 1lb ground sirloin
- 1 tbsp Montreal Steak seasoning
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 orange pepper or color of your choice diced
- 1 small to medium onion diced
- ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ cup Stubbs beef marinade (can sub beef broth)
- 1tbsp cornstarch
- Sliced provolone or American cheese
Directions
- In a medium skillet on medium heat cook the ground sirloin, until half way done, add the Montreal steak seasoning and minced garlic
- Add the diced peppers and onions
- In a small bowl whisk together the Worcestershire sauce, Stubbs beef marinade and cornstarch, pour into ground beef mixture
- Add 4 slices of cheese and stir together
- Broil rolls in oven until lightly browned
- Scoop meat into rolls, you can add more cheese if you like, we definitely did
Tips & Recommendations
Using sirloin helps reduce the grease, if you use a different meat, you might need to drain some grease. My hubby prefers American cheese, but you can use your favorite
