Homemade Guacamole

Years ago I went to a restaurant on the Riverwalk in San Antonio and they had the best guacamole ever. They made it at the table, so I was able to recreated my own recipe years ago. I am a huge guacamole fan, but only if it is good. Trust me this will a go to recipe for you. Some of my family uses my recipe already.

Ingredients

  • 2 large avocados or 3 medium avocados ripe
  • 1 roma tomato diced
  • ½ red onion diced
  • Juice from 1 lime and 1 lemon
  • 2-3 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1-2 tbsp guacamole seasoning or 1 pack of guacamole seasoning

 

Directions

  1. Cut avocado in half, remove seed. Score the avocado and remove the avocado. Place in a bowl and smash with a fork.
  2. Add juice from lime and lemon to avocado, mix in with avocado.
  3. Add diced tomato, red onion, cilantro and guacamole seasoning to avocado, mix together.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cover and place guacamole in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  6. Serve with Mission chips or your favorite chip.
40 minutes 4-6 people

 

Tips & Recommendations

If you are not a huge cilantro fan, only use 1-2 tbsp. You can omit red onion if you want. Taste the avocado before place in the fridge, if needed add salt and pepper
