RECIPE

Philly Cheesesteak Pizza

So a couple years ago Jimmy and I were visiting my family in NJ and we had Philly Cheesesteak Pizza and we loved it. It was so good. So I have been making Philly Cheesesteaks and Sheet Pan Philly Cheesesteaks for awhile. So I decided to make a Philly Cheesesteak Pizza. You can make this pizza round or rectangle. We make this one rectangle. We always bake our pizzas on stone, it is the best for homemade pizzas.

You can make you your own pizza crust or you use store bought. I get my pizza crust from Trader Joes. I really do like it. I don’t usually add onions to my pizza but you can if you want. I usually do orange and yellow peppers, but you can use red or green peppers. When it comes to the meat, I get shaved ribeye from our Butcher Market, but you can use another steak, just cut it thin!!

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp  Montreal Steak seasoning
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup Stubbs beef marinade (can sub beef marinade)
  • 1tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 lb shaved ribeye or very thinly sliced steak of your choice
  • 1 store bought pizza crust (I use Trader Joes)
  • About 10-12 slices of American Cheese
  • 1 pepper
  • 1 small onion optional
  • ¾-1 cup of grated cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl whisk together Montreal Steak Seasoning, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Stubbs Beef Marinade, cornstarch
  2. In a large skillet, pour marinade over shaved ribeye and cook until just about done.
  3. While the meat is cooking, roll out the pizza crust and bake for 7-10 minutes, 7 for less crispy crust, longer for more crispy crust.
  4. After you pull the pizza crust out of the oven, carefully place the slices of American Cheese on top of the crust. Add meat and peppers on top of the American Cheese.
  5. Sprinkle grated cheese on top of the meat and peppers. Bake for an additional 12-15 minutes. We love our pizza crispy, so check your pizza at 12 minutes.

Tips & Recommendations

Watch your cook times, we like our pizza more well done. So we cook ours a little bit longer. If you don’t like American Cheese, you can use provolone or mozzarella.
