We are ending this week of apple recipes with a cocktail. This recipe is inspired by the hubs and me. One day a week we put on a creative thinking hats and working on recipe ideas and usually make a cocktail. I have to say Jimmy and I make a really good team. I actually think he likes helping me with recipe ideas. I know he definitely loves being a taste tester too.

I am not a huge whiskey person, but the hubs is a fan of Crown Royal. He suggested an apple pie cocktail and I asked if he thought Crown would go with it and he said yes. He loved this drink. I know I will be make it again for him soon.

Ingredients

• 3oz apple cider
• 3oz Crown Royal
• Splash of orange juice
• Cinnamon Sugar
• Ice
• Thyme

Directions

1. In a cocktail shaker add apple cider, crown royal, orange juice and ice, shake until cold.
2. Using a wet paper towel wipe the top of a whiskey glass, dip into a plate with cinnamon sugar.
3. Add ice to the glass and pour the cocktail over ice.
4. Top with cinnamon stick and thyme .
