RECIPE

Vodka Citrus Cocktail

One of my favorite drinks from our Vacation in Vegas was called a Nina Fresh. The first night our server recommended this drink, but I didn’t try it. Jimmy tried it and loved it. So the second night we went there, I ordered it and was so happy I did. It was the perfect drink to help cool off from a lot of walking. It went so well with the sushi and sea bass skewers I ordered.

I am not sure how they made it but I used most of the same ingredients and put my own twist on it. They had guava juice in it and I skipped that all together. (Really what is guava juice anyway?)I wanted it super simple, I added grapefruit juice, little bit of lime juice, muddled strawberries, dash of honey and vodka. I topped it with a little bit of seltzer water.  It was so light and refreshing, perfect for a hot day or a long day of doing yard work. This drink was really good. The grapefruit juice wasn’t overpowering, which was good. Don’t be scared of the grapefruit juice. Jimmy who doesn’t like grapefruit juice, loves this cocktail. Trust me the ingredients pair so well together.
